I just ordered an eBay special rfid keyless ignition system.

I will be hooking it up in such a way to that the kill switch powers the rfid box and the rfid box powers the bike.

That way I can walk up turn the kill switch on pass the tag over the sensor and fire her up. When I want to turn the bike off all I have to do is hit the kill switch which will turn off the rfid box in turn powering the bike off.

I had this setup on my last bike and I loved it.

Hmmm .... Can you link this system to the NFC in a cellphone or is it just setup for it's own tag?

It's setup to work with any rfid tag. Unfortunately nfc is a different tech and wouldn't work. Though that would be cool.

My goal eventually (when I get up the nerve) is to embed an rfid tag in the side of my hand for the ultimate keyless ignition!

I forgot to say, it will be wired in such a way that the key will still work in event of the failure of the cheap chinese system.

I'd like to find a reader that I can access with the NFC in the phone and mount the antenna in my docking cradle so I can put the phone in and hit start.
I have my phone set to  start my driving dashboard app when I turn on the helmet bluetooth, and that starts the gps speed sensitive volume control.

It could be easily done with an arduino and a nfc shield. In the future I want to add an arduino to my bike to control various functions

Again why waste money on junk like that? Honda still has simple//cheap keys---duplicate about $3.
Why put stuff on bike, when Honda has already figured out way that work?

Because I'm a tinkerer. I like to modify things amd I have more time than money. I can't afford all the latest and greatest new toys so I like to make the things I do have my own in unique and interesting (to me) ways.

Problem is with added junk---fails in middle of nowhere and you are stuck. I have Genesis---wife drives, I don't like it-----all magic electronics-----couldn't even put it in neutral without stupid key ....to move a few inches in garage.

Think SilverWing---no kick start/not able to be push started/starter-battery failure----happened to me recently in rural Maine----I had run battery down with stupid after market compressor(That went in trash). Wasted time/got going based on long time experience and help from HD rider.

In this case the key will still work to turn the bike on, the two systems will be hooked up in parallel.
