PostSubject: the colors of the Silverwing   Tue Dec 01, 2015 9:56 pm

Hi,  since I have some scratched panels, I have been looking into re- painting and researched the colors in which the SW was delivered over the years.  I was totally flabbergasted when I saw a white SW ( 2007 ) model with matching panels on the exhaust.  I have never seen a white one before and it does not appear in any of the color listings which I found on the net.

It appears to be a JDM model. Regrettably, white is the slowest color Sad

Thanks for the response Tim,
this SW was sold in Australia through a Honda dealer and is now for sale again by the first owner with just 6000 miles on the clock. Since there are very few SWs around in Oz it is quite hard to find relevant information about the models released here. ( I can only find a match to the color from paint suppliers, it is called Shasta White (NH 138) and was used on quite a few other Honda motorcycles.
I do like the white very much ( we have 4 white Honda cars in the family)and we can't legally go fast over here anyway Smile . If I could convince the " minister of finances", i would buy it and sell mine; simply because it would be more cost efficient than getting mine re-painted.

You might try the Singapore Bike Forum for more info on that white model. Lots of good info on both of these forums:

I'm guessing that as the exhaust cap is chrome, the heat shield has been painted white by the owner to match bodywork

Then too you might want to add a couple of Lotus emblem graphics. That'd sure confuse a few folks.
