Silver Wing Colors

Did Honda import into the U.S. a Candy Glory Red in 2006? According to all the parts manuals from year 2002 through 2013 they only imported that color in 2003. The reason I ask is, there is one for sale (2006) here in Florida and I'm wondering is someone crazy or is the parts manual wrong? I don't want to buy a Swing and not be able to get the colored parts I might need because the red in 2006 is different than the red in 2003. Hope this makes sense and someone can clarify it for me. Ignore the name bud, they change, get the paint code from under the saddle that will be accurate & may well match different colour names on other Honda models

But then too remember, that a lot of us paint our Tupperware to suit.

A couple of years  ago I bought a  layed over '06 Swing.
It was the darkblue. I needed a lot of Plastics. I picked
an 03 Candy Red Raspberry color.I got on the Honda
website to verify the part #'s were the same numbers
except for the paint code. I called the nearest dealer
(MRCycle in AshevilleN.C) to see if they would order all
the plastics. Always remember the parts ARE expensive.
(Very). Only problem was the front fender-the ABS on
the 06 is different from a non ABS. I priced the paint from
an automotive supply store $400 for a pint - you gotta
have ( 1.base coat 2.color 3.clear coat ).that's why I used
NEW Oem parts.

Thanks Guys, Hey Joe, that Candy Red Raspberry is one of my all time favorite colors. I think there is one for sale up in your neck of the woods. Maybe in Virginia.

The only plastics that I didn't replace were those under
the foot boards. Those were painted Flat Black with Krylon
Spray from Walmart. Looks nice & saved some $$$$. It was
tough work aligning and getting the seams even & fasteneres
tight.

So, as it turns out this 06 was painted. A great color of red but not a very good paint job. I had all intention of buying the Swing yesterday after driving 3 hours South (in Florida) to pick it up until I discovered the tires were 13 years old. I was told the tires were 3 years old. It did have 2 rather large scratches that turned my wife off. She knew I wouldn't be happy so it's keep on looking and I'll find the one for me. Wish me luck. P.S. She (my wife) has a blue 06 that we both love.

I thought the only 2006 colour was just the blue.  A friend has one (and deep blue is the colour). On the Honda Pacific Coast 900, I think the 1992 color is Candy Glory Red.  A really nice red ... a little deeper than firengine red.  They have another red in another PC900 which is pretty plain in comparison to the candy glory red.  But on a Silverwing?  I thought they were grey, black and blue with a red in there some where. Mine a 2005 is Titanium

My UK 2006 A6 model is silver and the colour code is NH-A30M. What the "pretty" name is, I've no idea -yet.

Edited to add that the name is Honda Digital Silver Metallic. Touch in kits seem scarce in the UK.

In the U.K. you can get touch up kits from RS paints but they are not cheap. I got some from eBay, a firm called paints4u which worked well and were less expensive. I have a suspicion that wemoto may also offer some.

Curiously though, while the above is from an EU site, Flyingpanman's NH-A30M "Digital Silver Metallic" doesn't appear on the list.

After 2 new SilverWings, one Red the other black----for minor touch up, rock chips, etc I found fingernail polish worked well---WalMart usually has large collection of colors in US-----For the black bike, finger nail polish also worked well to cover mess from static tip over(s)

Kind words from Tim ... Thank you.  But thanks really go to som2002.  It was his post that I just copied.  And thanks for the link (to motorcyclespareparts ....) ---lots of info there.

I have been going to search of a fingernail polish as John suggests.  I will take the right side "glove box" cover off the scooter and take it with me to compare colours of polish.  Good to hear someone with vast Silverwing experience has tried this touch up method.

According to my information (OEM parts) for 2007 the only color available was Cyber Metallic Silver.

In 2006 there was a color known as Delta Blue.......PB358M. This must be what you have. Refer to rockymountainatvmc.com
