How cold is too cold?

How cold does it need to get before you decide it's too chilly to ride?

For me, 45°F, or 7°C, is getting as cold as I care for. If I had a pair of leather chaps, I could probably go a few degrees F colder comfortably. I have absolutely no desire to ride in freezing weather, or when there is snow on the ground - regardless of how clear the roads may be.

yep your right, i travel with an empty topbox and underseat. A couple more cold rides home should learn me to carry some extra clothing
