| Anyone know if there is a LED bulb that will replace the OEM bulb in the running/brake light and rear turn lights? Would like to keep the "OEM" look, but add the intensity of a LED bulb. Thanks Larry |

| This is what I replaced my rear incandescent bulbs with:

Make sure to choose the brilliant red option, not the white.

| I have not done them on the SilverWing (yet) I have replaced every light on the Rebel and the Virago with LEDs from SuperBright. The bulb in the SWing looks like a 3057 base would work. For the other bikes I have, the 45 LED towers gave a nice light pattern with the OE reflectors.

| SuperBright does make LED towers for the 7440/7443 as well. I'll stick to Rebels from now on.

| Big Bird: Do you replace the turn bulbs also and was there any issue of them not flashing correctly? There is a note at that web site addressing that concern. Thanks for the link to that site....may be used for other applications as well. Larry |

Did the LEDs have less peripheral visibility/brightness than the original OEM bulbs? _________________ Bill - Georgetown TX 07 Silver Wing ABS Clearview w/vent, Givi E96/TB19/E52 with Admore Lighting, Alaskan Leather, Wrist Rests, 3M Solas tape, K&N air, Hyperpro spring, Grip Puppies, Airhawk, Utopia backrest, Stebel, Apexcone HIDs, StingerZ LEDs (w/Backoff WigWag), Knight Rider Sequential LED, NGK Iridium, Power Commander III, Manic Salamander, Saeng mirrors, Garmin Zumo 660, Dark-Side Sumitomo Tire |

Hi Larry. No, I left the incandescent turn signal bulbs alone. I didn't want to have to start splicing load resistors into an LED circuit to allow the flasher to do its thing. For the small amount of time the rear flashers are on, bulb life and current draw were not an issue. Ditto for the front turn signal/running light bulbs. |

Pretty tough for me to answer that question, Bill. Without being able to simultaneously A/B the bulbs, I will need to have a stock Swing beside mine, with someone activating the brakes of both at the same time. I'll see what I can do for you. |

| Big Bird: A couple of follow-up questions: Did you use the 18 count LED or the 30 count LED bulb in your Swing? Also, you suggested to use a red color. Since the lense is red, wouldn't this dim the output? It seems to me that if the OEM was a clear bulb that white would be the way to go? Did you have any clearance issues? Thanks for your thoughts. | Hi Larry. I used the 30 count LED's. Yes, I used the red LED's as suggested by the ledoption website. They seem pretty bright to me. Did you see the picture of the rear lights in my album? No clearance issues. Everyone tells me they're bright and easy to see. I like the instant-on feature of the LED brake lights. All my rear lights are LED's with the exception of the rear turn signals. |
