I just realized that I made two mistakes here. Neither is terrible, but I felt I should correct both...

1) as you can see below, I realized, I put the wrong year on my bike in my signature. OOPS! Still - it's a great ride and I enjoy it a lot. You'll also see I've added a couple more states since I last updated.

2) I never actually took the time to introduce myself.

I live about an hour outside Chicago on the MD-W line (for those in the area). I am a database administrator and software developer by trade, enjoy flying, riding my Swing, and lots of other things. My wife rides with me at times though most of my riding right now takes me to and from work. She's still getting used to the idea of her husband owning a motorcycle of any kind.

I typically ride year-round except when there's ice or a reasonable chance of it on the ground.

Best mileage so far was 61.59MPG riding from my home to Kenosha WI though I have to admit, part of it was due to a nice tail-wind.

During my most recent trip, I made several stops to Iron Pony in the Columbus, Ohio area and was very glad to pick up some new boots, fuel additive, a pair of wind screens, and some other little things. I will definitely return to Iron Pony when I get back there. If you live in the area, you're certainly blessed by a very nice outfitter even if they don't sell Honda rides... They're on Cleveland Ave. just north of route 161.

I have been very impressed with the group here and while the "other" site is "okay" this one seems to be not only a lot more active but a lot cooler to hang around on.

kbcmdba, I hope you feel better now that you have admitted all your mistakes to the forum. You should sleep much better now.

BTW... how did you get to Colorado from Illinois without crossing Missouri and Kansas? Now that is going to keep me up all night.
