Just thought i would come on and say hello.
Just changed the oil in my final drive, the old stuff was blacker than black so glad i have done it.
I was surprised to see how little it held, drained it for ten minutes and spun the wheel a couple of times.
Filled it until it flowed out lovely and golden in colour.

Or they used oil with additives former oilchange. Like graphite.
Then...the black color is not a bad sign.

Ask me in 2 years again, i also done the job a few days ago and used Liqui Moly MOS2 oil
But normaly the Graphit should be grey and not black... But my old Oil (Final Gear and Engine) are also really black and i don't think that there are some "special" Oils inside, the last oilchange was done at Honda dealer and was overdue
