| Move over HondaMama 'cus YammaPapa's got a new blue Yamaha T-Max. Just got it home on time Friday night 5 minutes before a blizzard rolled in! It now has a grand total of 16 kms on it. I can't wait for some of this snow to melt so I can get it broken in and start racing the Mrs. on her S'Wing |

You DROVE it home last Friday? Seriously? You must have been the first guy out this Spring on 2 powered wheels. I'll assume it came from Wildwood? What's faster, your T-Max or my Swing with a J. Costa? Time will tell.
Enjoy!

| Hey bigbird!
Yes, I did ride it home on Friday. I bought it at Winnipeg Sports.
What's faster?...your S'Wing...even without the J. Costa. They are about even up to highway speed and then a stock S'Wing starts to creep away and leaves the T'Max behind. They both have about the same top speed. I know this because I've owned one before and rode with 3 other S'Wings. The T-Max is quite efficient with it's 43 horses but doesn't compare to your 50!
One place where the "T" can be faster is in the curves (with rider skill being equal).
That's part of the reason for choosing this bike...I'll have to work twice as hard to go faster than the wife.
Just because we've recently become grandparents doesn't mean that we have to be grown up!

| Well, if you rode it home last Friday, you'll surely have it out today with sun and +4.
Was it not icy and somewhat scary driving home? |

| I surely will be going out today, if I can get it down the snow covered residential streets... The roads were fine last Friday and not scary at all. I'm sort of used to it as I have a small scoot (BWs 70cc) which I use once in a while in the winter months whenever the main roads are snow/ice free. I just dress up in my snowmobiling gear and ride 'till I get cold! (one doesn't have to be brave, just low on the I.Q. scale ) |

Well, all I can say is be careful. One never knows how big a pothole lurks under some of those puddles. I wouldn't call it being I.Q. challenged at all. I think it's more a case of being an avid 2 wheeler. I'm nowhere near as avid as you. I'm hoping to be out on my Swing before the end of March. I won't ride until all traces of ice/snow are off any streets that I plan to travel on. Probably as with your situation it's my residential street that poses the most problems. I have a short 2 block hop out to McPhillips and then it's clear sailing north towards the Perimeter. My problem then becomes where to go other than the highway. Lockport, Selkirk and the Beaches are out of the question for me until all snow/ice is gone. |
