Took it to the gas station to wash it and fill some gas in minus 20 celsius. 2 things. 1. Remarably ans suprisingly good grip on hard snow. 2. In Norway the liquid coolant for scooters can handle minus 25 celsius, and thats when riding. It was cold, yes, but putting on cloths, no problem with temp. Only problem was fog on the inside of the visir until I learned to breeth right. | Welcome to this forum and enjoy. I am interested in how you manage on snow on a single track vehicle. I have taken my car to work the past three days, rather than attempt the trip on my Silverwing. Am I just a woosie? And a very Happy New Year! |

| Thanks. Looks like I have misplaced my initial message when I first joined the forum. I have just bought a 2002 honda fjs 600 Silver Wing brcause my old scooter, a 2000 Pieugeot Elyseo 125 ccm no longer fits my need. I vas using the scooter from early March to late October, depending on ice on the road. Riding most evry day. I live in Skjetten, just north of Oslo,Norway, so the 125 was maxed out on the motorway doing about 100 km/t. That was not good for it or me. November might not be the right time to buy a two wheeler in Norway, but the offer was too good to pass. Looking forward to spring. Bob |
