PostSubject: Hello from Germany   Sat Dec 11, 2010 4:21 pm

Hello everybody from germany
I bought my 2001 Silver Wing 600 a few weeks ago, i think it was a bargain buy after i had a defective CVT on my Suzuki Burgman 650 (it's possibly called Skywave in USA).
I bought it fully fendered with big GIVI Topcase and the modified Seat. I had to replace the right mirror and windshield and took the GIVI AirFlow. I also changed the Air Filter with a K&N Filter and now after a few hundred km i'm waiting for better weather (we have a lot of snow the last days).

I'm 32 years old and work as an aircraft technician at a big german airline. Therefore i think my technical english is not so bad, but no garantee if i have to do some smalltalk Wink

I hope i can learn a few new things here and possibly i can help some other guys here.

Hello and welcome from an Englishman in Belgium. Laughing

I use Google Translate when chatting to Dutch-speakers online; it's pretty good.

My partner and I had a pleasant few days last July, riding in the Mosel Valley.
No snow then - we had to keep riding to keep cool!

Hopefully i can do it without google translate, it also will trainee my english Wink
I don't know the Mosel Valley, but if you want a little bit more to the south the "Schwarzwald" or "Schwäbische Alb" are wonderfull biking areas!

I have some pics of my Swing but there are done short after i bought it without cleaning and sunshine, just click to enlarge:

Welcome to the group.... and ditto on what Kurt said Laughing (unless of course Kurt was cussing me out in German). I took 3 years of German and used to speak with my "Oma" growing up but forgot everything. I"m trying to learn Dutch, since my wife is dutch, but I must learn languages like an American..not too good.

Thanks for joining and the maintenance is pretty easy on the SWing. There is a "Pictorial" section that can help you out, but since you work on airplanes they may not be needed for you.
