| Okay fellas -- getting a workout on the boards this morning!!
Here's the situation:
Have the wife's Swing with a good bit of the body panels off doing the trike conversion. Being that we are GWRRA & do a fair amount of group riding, I want her to be able to communicate (sigh, yeah I know). Not to mention the ease of being able to coach her from mine.
I've seen a rig-up a couple times that incorporated a small hand-held with a PTT that wrapped around the left grip and a modular plug for a helmet headset.
Does anyone out here have that rig? Can you post the parts or Mfg's please?? Want to get this done today while running the wiring is a non-issue....

| This is not an answer to your question but may be a stopgap until you find what you are looking for. When my wife purchased her Burgman in 07 we installed the Autocom system. All the tupperware from the seat forward was removed for the PTT, cell, FRS and MP-3 cables. When I had my SWing apart last spring I placed one inch wire loom along the right side of the frame from the area below the right front cubby to the area outside of the under seat storage box for future installation of a similar system. http://cabletiesandmore.com/nonSlitWireLoom.php |

| For C.B. radio I use these. http://www.premiere-electronics.net/store/midlandcb.html Headsets and wiring info. I use the "751" for open face helmets in my full face helmet. For full face helmets http://frontpage.erie.net/carol129/Motocomm/Motocomm_MC551.htm For open face helmets http://frontpage.erie.net/carol129/Motocomm/Motocomm_MC_751.htm The same headset system also works with my GMRS radio. C.B. about $90 Headset about $58 I hope this helps. |
