Motorcycle Daily had a designer's version of what a BMW scooter would look like - he apparently works close to one of BMW's factories or something like that. If they do build it and it has the 70 - 80 hp twin engine, I'll be looking for it - Honda should be there already but they'll a touch slow on revamping their models. Rolling Eyes

If that thing every comes to America I would have to take a very close look at it. The profile is sort of similar to the Silverwing and the added horse power would give it the extra pop I would like to have. I love my Swing, but if that thing rides as good as I expect, I probably would have to get one... Of course I would keep the Swing as well...

BMW makes such quality bikes that would be tempting but the closest dealer to me at least an hour away. Their maintenance is really expensive. I have a friend with an LT1200 and the bikes are beautiful and run great.
I'll stick to my dealer which I like.

Hi Sweendog. Thanks for finding this vid. Now I want a new R1200 instead of the "C". There is something undeniably desirable about a Beemer, or Bim,etc. I swear, at the last Cycle World Show in St Louis, there was a young lady at the BMW display, same demeanor, same factual presentation......wanted to adopt her as a daughter and invite her over for Thanksgiving. At the end of the visit, she kindly asked me to sit on a new GS, took my Pic, and gave me the copy.
BMW............Best Mannered [2] Wheelers. At least the PR people......for sure.
Sween.......I've read your posts, and you seem a very reasonable person. If money was absolutely no object would you order up a "C".??

You're welcome. I've always liked the RT and LT bikes by BMW, and when I finally got a chance to test ride an R1200RT this spring, I knew why. It was an amazing, albeit expensive bike. The new 1600 series looks incredible as well, but I'm betting it will cost somewhere in the $26-30K range, which is just too rich for my blood. =(
