| Hello, I'm Brenda from Ontario Canada. Just recently purchased my first scoot, Candy Red 2009 Silverwing. So far the riding has been good but still trying to get 'comfortable' with the SWing. My DH has a Goldwing so now I can ride along with him. At only 5'2" (if I really stretch) I'm not even close to being flat footed so I will be looking for any advise on how I can get lower to the ground. (have shocks set at 1 now). This looks like a great site and look forward to everyone's advise and adventures while riding the SWing. |

| Welcome to the site. We're glad to have you join us.
Three things come to mind to help you flat-foot:
Boots with thick soles.
Slide to the front of the seat when you come to a stop.
Peel the cover back from the seat and cut the foam down.

Potential vertical adjustments:
1) Adjust the shock height
Which you have done.
2) Motorcycle boots/shoes with raised sole and heel
I believe Dan Spevack (dspevack) has a list of possible boots/shoes.
3) Adjust the seat
Some people have peeled the vinyl back on the front of the seat and shaved some foam from the nose and side of the nose. 4) Reduce the tire(s) circumference.
I am not aware of anyone trying this yet, but it might be worth investigating if there are potential tire replacements with a smaller circumference.
I would think reducing the rear tire would be the biggest difference since the seat is closer to the rear._________________ Bill - Georgetown TX 07 Silver Wing ABS Clearview w/vent, Givi E96/TB19/E52 with Admore Lighting, Alaskan Leather, Wrist Rests, 3M Solas tape, K&N air, Hyperpro spring, Grip Puppies, Airhawk, Utopia backrest, Stebel, Apexcone HIDs, StingerZ LEDs (w/Backoff WigWag), Knight Rider Sequential LED, NGK Iridium, Power Commander III, Manic Salamander, Saeng mirrors, Garmin Zumo 660, Dark-Side Sumitomo Tire |
