Been doing some scooter/bike shopping lately

Been doing some new bike/scooter shopping lately---probably only can go with Honda----dealer network/model range. Turn off is all of the extra charges Dealers are asking for....so I can sit on my money and drive my Spark, works great, actually Daewoo, made in Korea--Daewoo no longer builds car except for Chevvy in US to the best of my knowledge.---Great celebration this week---Dealer offered really inflated price for her(wife) 2019 Audi Q5 Prem---she took it, car piece of crap--5 recalls, rode like lumber wagon, $225 oil changes, no dip stick, prem. fuel----She got 2022 Honda HRV---again Mexico made, dip stick, reg. gas---only extra AWD---lease payment dropped over $300 a month! For me as passenger, easier to get in and way more comfortable---Insurance much cheaper, too for same coverage.

For bike will try another Honda dealer next week for bike/scooter.

Note I do not buy used bikes....as I use mine and need /use them as transport. Really give away price, might look at, at least. I like warranty riding.

Honda HR-V' s are a good little SUV. CVT transmission similar in function to SW but different. 2.0L 4-cylinder engine been around since 2006 in Civic all the bugs worked out. 15K rear diff. service and 30k trans. service other than that oil changes brakes filters and tires.

Spark okay when newer until things start to leak oil and coolant leaks common when all those plastic fittings start to go. Everything is plastic anymore. Cheap but doesn't seal all that well.

I have had a 2016 Honda HRV since summer 2015, one of the first to come to U.S. It's been a great vehicle. AWD with great gas mileage for an AWD. Once, with good weather conditions and conservative driving, I got 41 mpg pure highway (50-55 mph). Winter average mileage is 30-33. Highway is almost always 36-37 mpg. Although the navigation system is pure crap, the rest is great.

The HRV was already extant for a few years in Japan and Canada, so it's been tested for bugs there.

Although the Navi model that I bought (rare model available at that time), was up around 28000+, the non-AWD HRV starting price is very reasonable for what you get in a dependable utility vehicle.

For bikes, probably better to stay with Honda or known brands: Paying a little more is usually worth the peace of mind.

Yes. Thanks Mike0. I fully understand the cost of doing business but everyone has a limit on how much markup is acceptable. I still need to see if my local Honda dealership is playing the crazy markup on the Monkey bike.
