| Can any body tell me what the difference is between the Silverwing 600 GT and the normal 650 , I cant find any real information out there and am looking to upgrade my ex Japanese 400 to a larger capacity. Many thanks from "Down Under' |

| G'day, the Silver Wing 600 GT is the just the 2009 onwards Silver Wing SW-T 600, and I've no idea at all what you mean by the 'normal 650’. The FJS/FSC Silver Wings are of course 600’s. |

| I am just trying to find out if the bike marketed as a " SW 650" is the same or different to the one called the "600 GT" , simple really, Thank you. |

| The Honda 650 Silverwing Interstate was the first version of the Gold Wing. Made in the mid 1980s, it was a 90° V-twin with shaft drive IIRC. Kind of thought of as a poor man's Moto Guzzi at the time. But, Hey! It's a Honda, and like the Energizer Bunny it keeps going... http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_gl650_83.htm

| Hi Tim, Thank you. As the SilverWing scooter is not imported or supported here in NZ, it is difficult sometimes to being able to relate to various other markets identities imported here privately, for what may be the same make/model, albeit the same, but for/from a different country, hence my inquiry.
Which is probably why I was unable to get any clear information about this from Mr Google !
I have probably done more K's on the short ownership on my SW than the 20+ bikes I was lucky enough to be custodian of.
Cheers |

Tim The first production of the Goldwing series was 1974, starting out as a 1000 cc bike, pretty much bare bones. Me? I liked the PC 800 as the mini version of the full sized Wing. My first Gold Wing, a 1987 Interstate. |
