| I am trying to get into the innards of my swing to do some wiring . I have removed the windshield garnish , the windshield , and the the front meter visor , but now I'm having trouble unpluging the speedometer connector and removing the meter panel . There is probably something else to remove . Anyone been there ? TIA

| You will need to remove that upper frame loop (behind the windshield garnish) as well to remove the meter panel.
There's probably more to be done as well but, right now, my brain isn't functioning all that well. Maybe more info later in the day
IIRC you won't need to remove the entire front cowling though. But that said, if you are intent on doing some wiring mods you'll be much better off having that entire front end off so that you can gain full access to everything.
Somewhere on this forum there is a link to a YouTube video about removing the front body work. It's a "relatively easy" 20 minute job.

| You start by removing and fixing one thing .take the time to check the steering bearing ,I can almost guaranty that it is loose.Add some connecting wires if you are planing extra lights in the future, and place a cloth on the fender so not to scratch it when you remove the cowling . |
