| As I posted in my introduction, I bought my scooter with 7,000 miles on it already. I was going to finally replace my air filter for the first time today(wanted to switch up to a K&N), but after checking every store that was open I found no one had anything in stock. So I figured I might as well take it apart and see if I could at least clean off the one that was in there. I got it all apart and found it to look like a orange/red pleated fabric with a wire screen on the backside. I was assuming it would just be a white paper type one if it was stock..??? Did I luck out and someone else already installed a K&N so all I need is the recharge kit, or is this what the OEM one looks like? Thanks for the help. |

| K&N Stock Honda ![Air filter question... Element-comp-air_medium17230MCT000-01_e67a](https://2img.net/h/images.cmsnl.com/img/products/element-comp-air_medium17230MCT000-01_e67a.jpg) The difference is the Plastic standoff on the stock Honda the K&N does not have that protrusion. The K&N does not have a screw hole in that position. |

| Masscoot... thanks for the pictures of the filters.. I just ordered a K&N for my scoot and now I will know what it is suppose to look like. Good work. I was expecting to see a filter with the metal screen made out of stainless steel or something like a scouring pad.
