PostSubject: Back in the saddle   Back in the saddle I_icon_minitimeThu Jan 24, 2013 10:08 am

Hi,

I live in the seaside town of Bangor in County Down, Northern Ireland. I've had a SWing (2001 model) since late summer last year. Over the past two years or so I'd begun to itch for a wee change, something I hadn't had before, something different but wouldn't exterminate my bank account and I went for the SWing. It's quite different to the old airhead Beemers I used to ride, which I loved but I wanted to try something different.

Anyway, I have commuted by train to my work in Belfast for quite a few years now but on 6th January the train company changed the timetable making it quite inconvenient and they raised prices just too far.

So, I started riding the SWing to work, like I used to do all the time many years ago. It's great in traffic, weather protection is decent, fuel economy is good, performance is more than adequate and comfort is great. It's also generally quicker for the 18 miles each way now than the train!

Initially intended to only use the Swing for pleasure, let my wife train to ride it and go on mini tours but, needs must!

cheers
Martyn

This cold weather here in UK has kept me off the Silverwing for the last week or so meaning I had to take the 'Tube' to work Sad

But this morning I was back in the saddle with a smile on my face Smile
