| Went for a coffee 50 kl to a near by town. As i was ready to leave before dark my friend came by to show me his 09 Gold Wing that he pick up last sunday. So I stayed and had a coffee with him then we left together later then usual . Half way home a cow moose came out of the tree line and on to the road as I was passing by .I did not see it,but my friend saw come on to the road.He honked his horn and she turn around as i was passing .That was a close call . |

| That would have been some costly coffee. |

| You can say that again. At night an animal that size can be invisible. A MC rider was killed 2 months ago and another driving his car died a week after the MC accident. 3 second later I could have been me .This year 28 moose were hit in my area, not counting all the near mist. With colder nights the rutting season will start soon and it will get more active. |

| Hey tinman,
Do you have a louder after market horn on your SWing? and do you think one would be of any help in those situations? I know you only have a split second to react, I know, I've hit a couple of Deer when I was driving truck up in the northern states. Luckily for me only minor damage. Ride Safe. |

| I don't think a louder horn would have work for my situation .The moose came out of the gully as I was passing by and I never saw it come up the bank. My friend was 200 + ft behind and honk his horn and the moose reacted quickly and turn around, and ran back in the woods. The Goldwing horn is louder then the Swing so a louder horn might have work had I would have see It in time to reacted in time. It was as close .It happen once before in my truck.I saw it coming up the bank and when I looked in my mirror it was on the road.A friend was lucky to get his mirror ripped off. |
