| As you may have noticed from another thread I just started, I dropped my bike and now need to repair of replace some of the tupperware (see "Dropped bike - need to replace some of the tupperware"). If I end up choosing to repair any of the panels I will need to fill in the scratches/gouges before I can paint them. While I have previously done touch-up on cars, I have never done any filling (in this case to fiberglas). Can anyone offer some advice on how to do this? ColoRite sells everything I would need, including a plastic repair kit. Is their plastic repair kit the best way to go, or is there a better way to fill the gouges? Any advice at all will be 100% more than I know now. Thanks everyone!
(BTW, I did do a search on this first. Couldn't find anything with solid information. Hopefully I didn't just miss it.) |

| I'm bouncing this in hopes that somebody knows the information I need about filling gouges on the tupperware and painting it. Please take a look at the original post for details. |

| I was getting ready to mount my bike in a Sam's parking lot when the woman next to me let go her shopping cart, which promptly rolled down to bump my bike. It does not look like there was damage but sheesh!
I thought the Tupperware was plastic. how to repair scratches would be really useful to know.

| I used liquid steel/epoxy - - not easy to form after it cures - Tupperware MUST be clean(I cleaned mine with nitro solvent) and paint free * repaired my front fender 3 years ago and still holding(put light-weight 10inch s-steel strips with the liquid steel) |

| And if you need touchup paint, its $5.95 for small bottle at your dealer. I ordered one today for mine, after looking at Colorrite prices of $20 + shipping. |

| I used a bumper repair kit I got from the autobody supply store (not the one you get at Autozone), it works well. I had ordered paint for my burgman from colorrite and it didn't even come close to matching so I had the autobody supply match the color using PPG paint and it was a close to a perfect match as you can get. |
