Hi Ben, That's a big job on the Swing. You'll need to take off a few major body covers to install a new cable. How mechanically talented are you? You might want to take this install to the dealer to have done or purchase a shop manual. Be prepared to spend some time on this project.

A general principle when changing cables is to tape the new one to the old one and using the old one to pull the new one through wherever

True! Works only when the old is free, not tied. |

Any one on the forum ever replaced a throttle cable on the Silverwing? Sounds like Roger has the right idea but it looks like the two cables are secured together in a couple of places on the Illustration page in the manual.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined I work on aircraft for a living when not going to school. I have only owned the silverwing for a few months and this will be the largest project I have undertook so far. I have about half the panels off I down to what seems to be the Major panels. I kinda just working at what looks easiest to take off and then figuring out the next as i go. I'm going to school full time so money is tight thus the lack of service manual and reluctance to take to the shop when with time i know i can figure it out. just was looking for anything to make it a simplier process.
