Hey Kurt... have you been touched by the flooding going on in your country? Looks really bad. I know Australia is a big place, but sounds like big flood. Keep us posted.

Thank you for your concern Gary. I have not been affected nor disadvantaged with this wierd weather. I am currently in Melbourne,Vic. and am astounded at the verocity of the rain and floods all the way from northwestern Australia, through to the south east. The only place not affected by the rain is the southwestern corner which includes the area around Perth, which in turn had problems with bushfires just south of and . around Mandurah.
The weather here is absolutely great, but we are expecting more rain early next week.
The hardest hi was Queensland and rumour had it that a cyclone(hurricane) was building up off the northeast coast. Fortunately it only got to a category 1 and blew out towards Fiji.

As always we will recover, but will we heed lessons given? (Brisbane, 1974)

Glad to hear that you have not been washed away. Many of your countrymen have. Still think of you when I read/hear news of Australian storms.
Stay safe and keep the funnies coming.

Glad to hear you're OK Kurt, and you've given me some reassurance too.
My stepmother, 91 years old, lives in Warracknabeal, about 100 kliks inland from Melbourne. We've spoken on the phone, and she told me everything was OK, but I wasn't sure if she was just trying to reassure me, instead of the other way round!!

Take care out there, and I wish you and all your countrymen a quick and successful recovery from the floods and damage.

Graham.

Glad your are in a safe area, Kurt. The company I work for builds ag. sprayers for DOM in Dalby and I guess they have been hit pretty hard. We also build for Machintosh but haven't heard anything from them. Take care!
