| I found a good looking 2002 SW with 22000 miles on the clock. It looks nice and is stock except for a new tall windshield. It has one rip on the seat that could either be patched or I could try and find a seat. My concern is the mileage. Is this a lot for a 19 years old scooter? The final price we agreed upon was $1500. Is this a good deal or should I keep looking for a better one? |

| 22,000 miles in 19 years for a SW is absolutely nothing!
I can't comment on the price; other people will have considered opinions. |

| so the mileage is not too much? I would love to know if the price is reasonable. |

| In my opinion it sounds like a decent SWing. As long as it runs good, starts good, doesn't blow smoke everywhere you go and the rip in the seat is the only thing wrong with it, it sounds like a good deal. |

| The price sounds good! As Dale says IF it runs good and doesn't smoke a bunch. My 2012 has more miles than that one. BTW check the tires, Those are a fairly good expense if it needs them... My 2015 Forza has 15K on it and although the tread is good they are age cracked VERY bad; nearly 7 years old. I ordered Pirelli Diablo Rossos for nearly 200 bucks so consider that in the equation. Good luck! And send pix if you get it |

| Mileage isn't high for a nineteen year old Silverwing. Check date on the tires (over seven years no good) , original belt -no good, find out about maintenance done (oil and filter change, spark plugs replacement ) and look for rust since they use salt on roads in your area. After doing your checks a price around $1200.00 is more reasonable and good luck. |

| I have just had a chance to see the SW. I felt like a vibration at the front that I have never felt on my Helix 250. Is this normal for a SW? There was no smoke coming out of the engine or the pipe. The seat had two serious rips. There was a tiny bit of plastic missing on the lower side. Other than that, it looked fine. I know that the SW has a 600 CCs engine However, I was worried about the vibration I felt on the front. I don't remember my last SW. I don't recall feeling any vibration at all. The guy had it for a year. That too got me thinking. Usually people tend to keep their scooters a bit longer. But he said he is selling to buy a good car as he cannot use it during the long months of winter Any ideas as to what could be causing this vibration? Should I be worried? The tires were practically new. He was willing to throw in a new belt. One last thing, there were no scratches or scrapes anywhere to be seen. The bike had a long Givi windshield. There was a mount for case but it wasn't included in the deal. |

Could be like me: I bought my '04 to try a big scooter on the cheap to test ride it for a year. Get it at the right price and you can move it on at little cost. As it happens, I know now that a big scooteroid is now a permanent addition to my fleet and that in some respects, the SW is the best of them (rough and all as mine is). |

| I have a bit of a rough Silverwing but it’s a pleasure to ride. It’s a 2001 FJS 600 non ABS and it has just turned 78,000 miles so don’t let the mileage put you off as they are very long lived and reliable. |
