A tail of two Swings.

Bought a 2003 a month ago. Then yesterday I bought a 2008 with less scratches and lower miles. So I switched windshields and tail trunks. And rear rim and tire and front rim and tire. Because I bought all these items new a week ago.

Everything went according to plan til I got to final thing. Swap front tires and rims. I had my Pitbull lift on one bike and car jack on the other.

I could not get rim to go on other bike?
Cussed and bitched and finally prayed.
Then it dawned on me the rotor on the 08 is wider.
So I had to switch rotors on both rims and problem solved.

Good tip, I know the 88 89 G'Wings rotors were different from 90 91.

Wider or larger? I think width is all the same but ABS bikes might have a larger front rotor. 5 MM on all rotors for front. I think brake pads were just pushed a bit closer and it wouldn't fit . Wedge a screw driver in between brake pads and expand it a little.

Larger. Not wider. Neither bike has ABS. As far as I know. I also ride a 2012 Goldwing. Those with ABS have like a gear on one side of front wheel . Thanks. D
