We were in our SUV but I'm thinking of giving it a go on the S'Wing, uphill NOT down. This section of road is about 12 to 15 miles long none of it has electric nor homes and only the paved section has any intersecting roads. It's part township part park forest roads. The colors were great the views good ( better when more leaves fall ) BUT and it's a big but one tight lane and at the double hairpin turn the road drops LOS 135 in 239 feet. The road is gravel / dirt and try doing that drop with a S'Wing would be a real feat, the true road surface distance is about one to two tenths of a mile so the drop is spread out some but not enough for a downhill ride, maybe up but only with a spotter at the top in case there is someone coming down.

Interesting OWG, inquiring minds want to know: does this road have a name, route #, or location?

Yes it runs from rt. Ohio rt. 327 to Bull Creek rd just off the northern end of rt. 327 a true ridge runner road if the ever was one. The southern end is called Haynes Hollow rd, the rest of it park roads with just a number.

N. end 39deg24' 45.38N 82deg. 44' 58.19W ELV. 1139 feet. It starts as Ridge road

S. end 39deg 17' 24.28 N 82deg, 44' 58.70 W ELV. 625 feet.

Further on our ride we went through the village of Lickskillet Smile must be some good cooks there;) just bother with Knockemstiff, yes another old village.

Downhill on gravel is a lot less worrisome if one has ABS. You can actually use the brakes. There are some places I used to go in my area with my Goldwing and a BMW C650 scooter. They had ABS and it worked a wonder. I sure wish the SW I have now had ABS.

True it may in this case the 1st turn is at the top and then you drop like a rock, when you get to the bottom you turn again, when we started I heard my wife mutter ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Then why do you seem to gravitate to these kinds of roads SmileSmile
