I am new to scooters but old to motorcycles. At 76 I just sold my 21 year old R1100RT because it was getting to hard to get my leg over it(bad hip). Just bought a 2012 Silverwing with only 4450 miles on it. My beemer had 80,000.
The second owner only had the bike for just over a year. His wife didn't want him on it for verious health problems. Going through it and finding a number of minor things, low tire pressure, bent center stand. Nothing I can't handle. Looking forward to a "last" relationship with this one.

Welcome frossa Silverwing is a great ride. Auto drive and small wheels take a bit to adjust to but it is a great bike-scooter and will take you as far as your butt can handle. So much great info here and good people. 50 HP and 105 MPH at the top.

I am a former BMW enthusiast and went to a silverwing. My clutch hand went bad. You will love the low center of balance. As mentioned watch the smaller front wheel in slow turns. The comfort of the SW is outstanding and better than my BMWs. Congratulation and you'll continue riding on a SW.

Welcome frossa to the BEST SWing site on the net. You'll find the SWing will take you anywhere you want to go without any problems. I have an 08 that I've had for a few years now and really like it a lot.

Welcome on the site. You will find new friends and knowledge person here. Also been a BMW enthusiast still own a R100GSPD white/red for over 21 years. Moa life time member. Bought my first SW 2 years ago and since then rode only 200 miles on the PD. I'll put it for sale in the coming days.

The SW give a nice smooth ride and ther mecanic of these motorcycle a bullet proof....
