I've been the owner of a 2004 Silverwing for a little less than a week. I'm so glad I found this forum! It's already provided a wealth of information.

I owned a 2003 Reflex for 10 years and sold it in 2013. I missed having a scooter so started searching. Silverwings are not easy to find. I think I lucked out finding mine. It's got just under 12,000 miles on it. New tires, Givi screen and top box. Overall in very good condition.

It was running a little rough when I got it. It had been sitting for a couple of years. I drained the gas tank and filled with fresh and added Sea Foam. After the first tank it was running better. I also replaced the battery, which made a big difference. Next on the agenda; new plugs and the air filter.

How sure are you that the tires are new? Check the tire creation date. Make sure your tires are no more than six years. Also inspect for cracks on the side edges. Check the brake pads for wear. There is also parking brake pads to check but don't get fooled by how thin they are. Only used to keep your bike from rolling off of the side stand.

BTW - Welcome to the site. Great bike. I have a 2004 black Swing that the previous owner installed a Voyager trike kit.
