Today I got the first "real" ride on the Silverwing I purchased at the end of Dec 2019. When I got it, it would not roll down hill (had to be pushed - hard), the drive area had been a home for a mouse, there were 13 acorns in the air cleaner, no coolant and every body panel save the two in the rear were severely scratch/cracked/damage. I should have had my head examined as to why I bought this. To top it all off - no title. But after 6 months of working on it (and with the help of the state of Vermont) - I am pleased to show my finished Silver Wing. I took it out for about 50 miles today, and I am almost positive it is the first 50 miles its has been driven since 2012. I will post some "before" pics as well.

Looks about like mine did. Something about that red. Mine turned out pretty good. Lots of cyanoacrylate, fibreglass and epoxy was involved. The mechanicals were pretty straightforward on mine. Performed way better after services were done.

Nice overhaul and good to see it on the road again! I'm prowling around for a SIlverwing now myself. I would consider rough to save a few dollars, but like you I would probably end up rebuilding it. And no, I was not taking on that challenge of the one given to me! Forgot the title of the thread but I offered it FREE. Come to think about it, the guy I gave it to tried to give it back!

When I tried to fix my panels that were all torn up, the tabs were the hard part. That is why I just bought replacement panels. The red really looks nice.
