| Received my can of Seafoam late yesterday evening, so hopefully that may do the trick of sorting out dodgy fuel gauge not working right, recommended by you guys over the water, bloody expensive £15, so hopefully it will do the trick. Does not say how much to put into tank!! Kev |

| I've read numerous posts on here over the years about recommending and using Sea Foam cleaner. I'd say Kev is the first Brit who's bought a can of this engine cure all to try. Good luck with it. |

| For what it's worth. I've been using Seafoam for years on various vehicles including all of my motorcycles and small engines with good results. My 5 gallon gas can for my snowblower and lawn mowers sometimes lasts 2-3 years before I have to refill it. I've never had a problem with any of them starting. I'd dump 1/2 of the can in on your first and second fill GoonerKev. |

| GoonerKev, you’re going to need more than one can of SeaFoam to rid your tank of all the varnish, etc. But at the cost you paid to import that stuff you can probably find something similar on your side of the pond for less.
You could Google SeaFoam’s Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to find out the active ingredients then search for a similar product locally available.
Or you could brew up your own knock off. Here’s a link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Homemade-Seafoam-Knockoff/ There is actually lots of info about DIY SeaFoam, Techron and similar products on line.
While SeaFoam is a great product don’t expect a miraculous overnight cure. As others have advised: Be patient. You really don’t want to pull the tank unless it’s absolutely necessary. BTDT

| According to the Wisdom of the List: One full can in each of the next two tanksfull, then 1/2 can in each of the next two tanksfull. Probably best to run each tank down to well below flashing (say 20 miles after it begins flashing) before you add SeaFoam to the new tank.
If you are going to have the scoot sit for an extended period of time please be sure to fill the tank and add at least 1/2 can of SeaFoam.
