So today I'm at my local Honda dealership getting my VFR-X serviced for the first time.

So been toying with another scooter as OH likes the S'wing (of all the toys) but prefers to sit directly behind me not elevated.

New super cub not doing it for me, S/H SH300i with 400 miles and loaded with extras ticked the box - except keyless ignition & seat still raised for pillion unlike Peugeot Django or Vespa 300.

Then randomly tried the new Honda monkey bike alongside the MSX/grom (lots of time to kill)

Same engine, same wheels but wether it's the wider seat the monkey fitted me whereas I find the grom aggravates my hips.

So when I asked about a PX price for the S'wing it nearly ends up a straight swap.

Monkey has no pillion seat or pegs so totally a wild card but means I'd need to buy a pillion bike come summer (tough life Evil or Very Mad  )

Other models tried CB500X (pegs seemed to be to far back) New Forza 300 amazing (but keyless again) and a Kwak SX 1000 (for a mate-honest) amazing beast low mileage but the touring luggage made it like towing a caravan pig

So decision to monkey or not study

Hi,

Had a Benelli tnt 125.

Great bike, sounded fantastic with the decat pipe fitted but still only a 125 at the end of the day, constantly ringing it’s neck.

Personally for me needed some more cubes.

And that wont be happening. Spoke with insurance broker this morning and within the parameters I set bikes uninsurable due to size & theft by lifting.

Oh well I'll stick with my 125cc Pizza bike as an alternative

I have had my Cruisym300 for four months now, as an alternative for the Silver wing you won't find anything better. Plenty of room for a passenger, feet forward riding position, ideally placed screen, averaging ninety mpg, very agile with excellent response to throttle. Without the weight of the wing. Comes with a five year warranty. Iam up to seven thousand km and no complaints a real joy to ride.
