| Yesterday, the 29th, I went on another ride of about 110 miles round trip. It was a nice ride except for it being windy as heck.
I rode from Princeton, MN up to Garrison, MN for a pizza. Come on now, Pizza is its own food group. There's a Burger King/Broadway Pizza place up there. Broadway up there is sort of like an assembly line. You pick the type of crust and go down the line telling them what toppings you want on it. Then they put it in a conveyor belt oven and it's done in 4 minutes. It was great!!
When I got to Garrison I filled up just to check my mileage as this is only the second long ride I've been on since the trike conversion and found out I was getting 42 mpg which isn't bad. While I was filling up two more SWings pulled up next to me to look at the trike. One guy was riding an 02 SWing with 84,xxx miles on it. The other SWing was an 06 with about 45,xxx miles on it. They were very interested in my trike and asked lots of questions and took photos of it. They were from Brainard, MN and both were younger than me and by younger I mean in their middle 40s.
I'm not really sure what the wind speed was but there were a couple of times I almost thought I was going to get blown off the SWing. It was sure a learning experience on wind handling... But it was nice and sunny and decently warm. Although when I got to Garrison, which is on the West side of Mille Lacs Lake the temp did drop into the 50s but that still wasn't bad.
All in all a great day for a ride because today it's raining. And they are predicting rain for the next 3 or 4 days. If it ain't snow it's rain. MN weather! Gotta Love It. |

| Very nice! Glad you had a good ride. Don't feel bad about the miles to grab a pizza, it's all about the RIDE!
I have a friend in Sun City, AZ and we meet for lunch once a week, he rides a scoot also. Closest restaurant we hit is 23 miles away for me. Last week I put 134 miles on during our lunch ride! Just changed my oil and filter and tomorrow is lunch so off for the RIDE!!! |

| That's the way I figure it too Glenn. Last year I went over 50 miles one way just for coffee. A group of us also put 250 miles on for Ice Cream. YUP! It's about the ride.
The Bern, I'm planning on a couple day ride to Northern MN this summer to look around my old stomping grounds and visit relatives and friends whom I haven't seen in years.
And they are talking warm weather again today so I'll probably take a ride to Taylors Falls, MN. There's a Frosty Top Ice Cream drive in there that has good burgers. It's also nice 2 lane roads all the way there. |

| The more I ride it the better I like it. I'm getting more used to the steering and cornering. It handled well and rides nice and I'm not losing all that much mileage. I'm getting around 42 mpg on the highway. |

| Hi Pastor Ron, Yes I did. I checked it and they were at 21 so I left them there. And you know summer is finally here... Because. |
