Has anyone previously investigated the Power Commander LCD Unit ( http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/Products/LCDUnit/powercommander_lcd.aspx ).

I have just started researching.

Bill,

After looking at the product, I would say this is really good for someone who doesn't have a dynojet tuning center around and wants to create a custom map themselves. The unit is $300+$50 for the cable. I think you pay a good bit less for a tuning center to create a custom map. You can also create custom maps which you can switch on the fly, lets say for highway vs city or performance vs fuel economy. This is for the technically minded DIY guy. It might be pretty to look at, but I don't see the value unless you are racing it, or have a really tight budget that the fuel you save will exceed the cost of the lcd.

Dan

It looks like Fuel Moto ( http://fuelmotousa.com/djaccessories.htm ) has the Unit (and it looks like the cable in the picture) for $249

I would be very interested in the data that it could capture.

Looks interesting... but unless it also is giving you a readout on oxygen and exhaust gases I can't see it being of much real value in helping making your own map.....? For that you are still goingto need the analyzers and ideally a rolling road!!
