At near 8,000 miles pulled plugs on my SilverWing. Purpose: take a look, add "Never Seize" on the threads, check gap....but no intention of replacing as Honda recommends at 8,000 miles. Replacement R plugs are no long a dollar or two items.

So gap ok at .031 inch, no sign of wear or eating away, used "Never Seize" on threads and may look again at 30,000 miles. Purpose of "Never Seize"---as miles pile up won't rip threads from head as I try to get plugs out.

To make sure I have right on board tool assembly, used these tools rather than my normal shop tools. Instructions for plug removal are in owner's manual, including plug gap.

I would hope that every Silverwing owner would at least once peruse their owner's manual.

My purpose in referring to manual----I don't think this procedure was included in earlier manuals?? AND right now we seem to have lots of interest in early models.

I do not think ever seize is recommenced to be used on Silverwing spark plugs. There is a auto and truck manufacture that has experienced concerns with spark plug threads but this is due to a completely different  design in manufacturing  and they have corrected this problem. Howard
p.s. Do not try and remove spark plugs from a aluminium head when hot or you could have a problem.
