| I went out saturday just because the weather was great and i thought i need a quick ride so planned on a 20 mile plod about ended up doing 75 miles instead...all was going nice and slowish looking around at the country side taking in sights and smells etc when on the last stretch home a road called th A25 one of my regular roads when a guy on a 916 comes flying past on the straight :m/c: so for fun i wanted to compare the difference i.e how far apart the bikes are any way found myself catching on the bends trailing on the straights (so obviously not a great rider) after a short distance was actuall getting held up on bends but didnt want to get into a race so sat behind for a while but i knew i was coming to my favourite bends and didnt want to be held up so whilst he was braking on the left hander i went around the outside then left him in the right hander , pulled up at a set of lights further up and a guy on a fireblade pulled up laughing his arse off saying the guy turned off and thanking me for the entertainment he said (i dont remember doing this but guys i ride with say i sometimes do)i went around the outside looking at him shaking my head as if to say well this is embarressing. ...now im not claiming im a great rider or showing off but just dont hold me up on my favorite bends |

| John,
Thanks for that narrative. I would think that I might have had the same response. I'm often dismayed to see how few people really understand the physics of riding or driving for that matter.

Just to be very clear ..... "slow" is a relative term. :m/c:_________________ Bill - Georgetown TX 07 Silver Wing ABS Clearview w/vent, Givi E96/TB19/E52 with Admore Lighting, Alaskan Leather, Wrist Rests, 3M Solas tape, K&N air, Hyperpro spring, Grip Puppies, Airhawk, Utopia backrest, Stebel, Apexcone HIDs, StingerZ LEDs (w/Backoff WigWag), Knight Rider Sequential LED, NGK Iridium, Power Commander III, Manic Salamander, Saeng mirrors, Garmin Zumo 660, Dark-Side Sumitomo Tire |
