| Thanks Terry.
I use, (I think it's JeffR's method.)
Brake on, and rev the beezesus out of the engine for a few seconds. That tends to cure a squealing belt.
Or
Accelerate using high revs from standing stops. Can't do it all the time but as often as the opportunity arises. |

| I'm w/ Doug - whack the throttle open from take-off to put tension on the belt. When I had the Burgman 400 this was the big topic on BurgmanUSA forum. Seems like most of the folks there w/ the squealing belt problem eased on the gas when taking off. I never had the squealing belt issue w/ the Burgman and (knock on wood) no issues with the Silverwing so far w/ the brief time that I've had it. Guess the best way to say it is ride it like you stole it and give 'er the gas.

| I've done the brakes on high revs for 5 second method. I didn't notice any difference. |

| You could try the "Deliverance Method", drop your pants and stand behind your scooter saying "Squeal boy!", that'll cure it. |

| So what is the best remedy for belt sequel at low RPM? Have tried all the above and and am thinking of removing my belt cover again and using a light sand paper on the plates and a cleaning savant on the belt.
