Took on my first ever passenger today. All went well.

I took my friend on my Swing to go pick up her new 2011 Vespa 150 cc from the dealer. It was about 10 miles in rush hour traffic. I took it slow "no choice" Shocked
I then followed her back to her house while she rode her new scooter.

It was a great day to ride. Temps got up to mid 60's if not warmer. I wasn't quite sure how it would feel with a passenger behind me but she was not figity at all. I feel confident enough to offer a ride home to a co-worker if needed as long as it is dry and on city streets. I'm not quite ready for the highway yet.

Congrats!
That first ride with someone on the pillion can be unnerving.
It sounds like you handled it very well.

Good news.

The SWing handling characteristics can be different for other passengers depending on how they lean (or do not lean).

Cathy,

Congrats to you for taking her over to get her new scooter. Sometimes my wife will just lean over at a stop and it does throw me off balance. Now you have another riding partner for the slower state roads maybe.
