PostSubject: Awful ride home yesterday   Thu Mar 31, 2011 10:33 pm

So much so I bottled the 2 wheeled commute today.

Yesterday, the weather was dank, visibility varied between poor and fog. The roads were damp, greasy. At which point I was just not happy.

Then!! I encountered the pig poo on the road. Nearly lost the back end twice. Farmers!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Work collegues commented on my lack of progress yesterday getting home.

Rather get home slow and safe than put the 'wing' down the road in such awful conditions.

Good call, as this morning has similar conditions and I noticed the farmers muck spreaders had been out again.

'Discretion' and 'Valour', Doug!

We've had rain and the farmers are out on the roads with their tractors and huge tanker-trailers full of slurry.
Not good for bikers.

Best be careful. Smile

I've always thought farmers are allowed to play by a different set of rules to the rest of the UK road users. Who else can pull an unlit trailer at night with bald tyres on wobbly wheels, showing no licence plate, or dazzle the traffic crawling along behind them with a pair of high mounted rear facing spotlights. Mad
