Hello everybody,
Just got a 2005 ABS Silverwing and here I am!

I came one month ago to Alhambra CA from Italy, where I drive a T-MAX 500 (excellent bike!).

I hope this bike is as good as that one (or even better Surprised )

Hello and welcome!
I'm sure you'll enjoy the Silverwing as much as the Tmax, even though they do different things.

Hi and welcome.

Like Mike says the 'Wing' is a different ride to the TMax, I reckon the Yamaha is more sporty whereas the 'Wing" is more sports tourer.

Doesn't detract from the fact the 'Wing' is a mighty machine and ticks all the boxes for me.

Not having ridden a TMax before, I will guess that you may want to replace the fork springs on the Silverwing. The handling can be a little soft with the stock springs.

If you install a J Costa variator or 21 gram weights, you will probably love the acceleration!

Other than that, it is a terrific machine. Hope you enjoy it.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new SWing. I haven't ridden a TMAx but hear they are the sportest of all scooters. You will probably want to change out the front springs to hyperpro on the SWing. It really gives it a much better ride and helps alot in the twisties (tight turns). Keep us informed on how you like it if you would. Congrats.
