| I m 51. Started riding last year on a Ruckus, and while riding around the small towns, old guy tells me has a 72 Honda CB 350 for sale. Bought that but not good for all day riding. Took the moto safety course and then found a 2003 Wing for sale and have been riding all 3 since. The wing is for my longer trips out on the roads of west central IL. Few cars, great roads and lots of fun little towns and restaurants to find. Get some interesting looks pulling up on the wing. Most have never heard of the thing. I love riding the ruckus at when the sun is setting. The sky is from horizon to horizon here and so beautiful. Get near the rivers(Miss. and Illinois) and it gets hilly and twisty. My favorite ride is to Nauvoo IL. Not a Mormon. Looking forward to spring. Am about to put on a Led brake/turn signal to brighten up the rear end a bit. The danger of riding here is the deer. Not sure what I can do about that. I love hearing about people's trips/adventures and seeing photos. Very inspirational. Trying to figure out a long trip somewhere, probably w/ my brother. Have a nice ride. |

Welcome to the Forum - enjoy the ride.
The January - February edition of RoadRUNNER ( http://www.roadrunner.travel/wp/ ) had a nice article (Shamrock Tour) about some rides in your area. |

| My SWing is silver, came w/ Corbin seat and two oval backrests, Givi tall windshield(need it taller, I'm 6'3", any ideas?), and some nice silver/black aftermarket grips with nice flats on them for comfort on long rides.
Any ideas on boots? Comfort is the key.
I have pants jacket/w armor. Look like a futuristic drone warrior when fully decked out w/ silver reflective shield on helmet. People move out of my way at the gas station, and only my pants are black. No leather.
Now just waiting for 40 degree weather and dry roads.
Pics sometime soon. |

| TW51, Welcome to the site and you get to ride in a nice area. I used to live in Champaign for many years, east central Illinois, and used to go ride down the river road sometimes. It sure is a nice ride. If you need more height to your Givi screen you may want to try putting a Laminar Lip on it. I had a Majesty with a Givi screen and it wasn't tall enough so I put the Laminar Lip on it and it worked great. When you get a chance to put some pics on it would be nice. And when you go on rides on the river please put a couple in. It will make me home sick. _________________ Ride safe, JeffR 2007 Silver Wing (30,000 miles) 2005 Majesty 400 (sold 12,500 miles) 2004 Reflex (sold 3,500 miles) Givi Windshield, top case, vista cruise, power commander, dr pulley sliders, air hawk seat pad, (J.
