PostSubject: Hello from MN   Sun Nov 28, 2010 11:37 am

Hello to everyone, my name is Rick Vondemkamp and I am located in the Minneapolis area. Picked up a 2002 SW just over a year ago with 7,800 miles and looking in showroom condition - it now has just over 11,300 miles and a few small road dings. It came with Givi case and windshield so was set up my requirements - added a GPS mount and a few personal touches. Over half of my riding is in just across the border in WI. This is my second scoot and the one of choice when my spouse comes along - it is more comfortable for her. The SW shares time with my other scoot, 2006 Aprilia Scarabeo 500, and enjoy switching back and forth and comparing the differences.

Retired at the end of 2007 and became involved with a local scooter maxi-scooter club called "Minn-Max" - so far have accumulated about 20k miles on scoots and most with members of the club. Have been following this SW Forum since acquiring the SW and hope to take advantage of the wealth of info being provided here.

I grew up on a farm just north of Minneapolis - Taylors Falls, MN. The ride from Superior to the southern end of WI-35 is a beatiful ride.

Hello Rick

Welcome to the asylum. You may recall that we met last June at the Iron Range Scooter Rally. Thank you again for the warm welcome & hospitality you and the Minn-Max crew extended me there.

It's nice to see you posting here.

Thanks to Tim and all of you for the warm welcome.

The city truck just went by with salt/sand to help out traffic from last nights freezing rain and snow - I'm sitting here envious of those of you still riding in warm weather climates - next March for me and that is a long way off!!

Greetings to All,

Be thankful that you can ride in March. For us up here in central Canada it will be more like April 10-14 unless we get really lucky with an early melt.
