PostSubject: Rear storage box   Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:25 am

I just installed a small storage box on my SWing (see picture on my user). Got an excellent deal for it on ebay from Wildfire Motors (www.wildfiremotors.com). Box was 19.99 which included shipping! How crazy is that??

Anyway, I have no affiliation with these folks other than now being a satisfied customer. Box is not TOP quality, but is very sturdy and easily mounted on rear spoiler. Took me all of about 30 minutes, only because I bought longer bolts and special nuts to mount unit at local hardware store.

Color matches well with my burgundy scoot. Can't complain. Anyway, just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone looking for something like this.

Great as most motorcycle stuff is way overpriced.

I have used plastic tool boxes bought at WalMart/K-mart in the past bolted direct.
All under $30---I am interested in function as I use bike everyday for everything.

I do have Givi E-46---with over 500,000 miles on various bikes in several parts of the world----hole cut in top for dog's head. But is $400 with rack really worth it?

When Givi dies----light gave up years ago---replaced with truck marker light, lock still works with blank key----plastic has never broken and it has been used from below zero to 100 degree F plus.-----it will be replaced with cheaper box bolted direct with wood stiffener on bottom.
