UH ....HUH? the alternator only puts out 441 watts. you need probably 200 just to run the scooter, PLus some to charge the battery. The main fuse is only 30 amps. If you use a 30 amp all you are doing is providing short circuit protection. for a power outlet (gps, phone , etc) a 10 amp fuse is more than sufficient. For a cigar lighter a 20 is more than sufficient. maxB (who has installed many on a lot of bikes) |

| Most cell phones and GPS's draw very little DC voltage/Amps to run and charge. Most only use the standard 5 Volts that comes through a PC (computer) mini USB port. A very small amount of voltage.
What I did to power my GPS is purchase a hardwire GPS power cable off Ebay. These a cheep and easy to install and do the job very well.
