PostSubject: FROM THAILAND   Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:19 am

Hi everyone,

Cosmic_Jumper suggested to switch to this forum.
A few words of introduction. I live in Thailand, ride a Silverwing 600 with EZS sidecar Rally attached, the only one in the country.
Only modification is a JCosta which makes a world of difference.
I bought the HiT clutch, not installed yet. Have had many exchanges with Cosmic_Jumper. To change the clutch requires to take the sidecar off, a major undertaking.
Consequently I must have the right combination of springs at the first shot. I often go almost off-road on very steep inclines, must go slow because of very rough road conditions and then the Honda clutch slips too much. The bike not made for a total load of 1200 lbs.
Riding it has been a dream for over 50.000 miles in 4 years. No major problems at all. Don't want a car. don't have a car.

Hi Pico -- I've never seen a Swing with a sidecar before -- do you have any photos? Sounds pretty neat! My family and I used to visit Haadyai at least once a year when I was growing up in Singapore.

PICO-Thai

Welcome to our forum.

I was in Thailand once several years ago (Bangkok and Pataya). It seemed that most vehicles including a lot of motorcycles and Tuk-Tuks were running on natural gas of some sort.

Does Honda offer some sort of conversion to natural gas in your country?

Thanks,

Dan

Pico,

Welcome to the site and hope you like it. There is a Silverwing in the town I live in that has a side-car. It is really cool looking too. He rides a black SWing but I have hever had the chance to talk to him yet. Please go to the "Albums" section and create your own folder and put some pics in it. I'm sure we would all like to see your bike.
