| Well my wife has a Silverwing 2007 with 501 miles that was bought at auction. She was looking for a scooter but as soon as she saw this she fell in love. I must say, that I have ridden it and have not found an easier bike to ride, it is a hoot! I have a VTX 1800N but the wife did not like to ride 2 up so that is why we were looking for a scoot. That being said, is it really a scoot? It has power, is comfortable, easy to ride, etc., etc., I have ridden it more than her so far(LOL). Hey, almost all cars are automatics now, why not bikes? | Hello Frankie and welcome! The Silverwing's a great machine - old design but tried and tested. Perhaps you should get one for yourself! _________________ Mike - Riding on the right - riding for pleasure!

| Hi Frankie and wife! They have some semi-automatic bikes where you still shift but you don't have to engage a clutch. Clutch and I are not good friends as I can stall anything that requires me to clutch and shift, but I was able to ride a Spyder round the block with one of those semi-auto shifters... I think the Yamaha FJR has a model with an electronic clutch and shifter... but then where would you store your groceries and loot on a bike?? |

This is a normal reaction ... which can be resolved by
1) Therapy (if embarrased or negatively effects your self-perception)
2) Riding the Silverwing

Now you don't want that to happen do you? Just kidding... welcome and join in anytime you want to share something or ask any question. Nice bunch of support here. |
