Hello all, I'm Duggle from Middle Tennessee.

I just wanted to say how great you people are. I had a bunch of questions about mirrors, 12v cigarette lighter adapters, hand grips and center (tunnel) bags.

All of them were answered by reading through your posts in the different sections.

Thanks to everyone.

Dug

I bought a 2002 S Wing a month ago. I have put 1200 miles on it so far.

My goals are to get a solution for the mirrors issue, get the grips a little more comfortable, get power for my GPS, and mount my trunk.

10mm Mirror Risers ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250599775680 )

100% CNC
6065 T-6
Black Anodized
(2) Stainless Bolts & Washers
2 1/4 in x 1 1/2 in

I had a nickle (non-Stainless) bolts and they rusted.

You could try inexpensive Grip puppies ( http://www.casporttouring.com/cst/motorcycle/hand_cont_$50/GPSMALL.html ) or replace the hand-grips.

GPS power, depending on what Unit you have, here is a good ebay source for a Hardwire power cable. http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=Hardwire+GPS+cable&_sacat=0&_odkw=Hardware+GPS+cable&_osacat=0&bkBtn=&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313

I think I'm just going to replace the mirrors since it's so easy to get ones that fit.

I was wondering about the grip puppies. Can anyone recommend them? They seem awfully inexpensive. Or if anyone can recommend good grip replacements I'm interested.

I may just try out the plumbing insulation idea I read about in the posts. At least then I could cut it down to fit with my throttle rocker.

When I got my silverwing I had the same mirror problem that everyone has had and went out and purchased a pair of mirrors off ebay. That was a mistake. At 50 miles an hour they folded back. I never was abel to get them to work. Now I have a cheep pair of mirrors out in my garage and I'm out $20.00 bucks.
Go with the extenders they do work the best on the silverwing in my opinion.

I replaced my original mirrors with the Honda Reflex mirrors, then I switched back to the original OEM mirrors with mirror extensions ... I can see more with the mirror extensions then the Honda Reflex mirrors.

I use the Grip Puppies.
