In pic number 2, he's grinding the footboards, maybe the crashbar......and the front wheel is locked up. If he didnt have the footboards, so that he could have just leaned 'er over a bit further, could he have saved it? Jeff.

Then he would not have had to rely on the armored sleeveless "T"!!!
