PostSubject: Coolant Inspection   Sun Apr 25, 2010 4:24 pm

I haven't received my manual yet, and I'm trying to check the coolant. From what I can tell, the coolant bottle is under the right-side storagae lid---I can open the lid, but I don't see any screws or bolts---nothing that appears to let me take the storage box out. Will appreciate it if someone could let me know how to get at the coolant bottle-----Thanks----EB

There should be a screw to hold the compartment in but if not there is a fancy Honda style retainer that you have to push the button in to release it. After that you will have to squeeze the sides of the compartment and wiggle it out. Just don't force it take your time.

Welcome EB!

It does sound like you found a gem of a scooter. You can easily check the level of the coolant by looking up inside the front cowling on the left side a little further back from the VIN Number. You will see the bottom of the coolant reservoir. If you need to get to the filler cap try this link. Let us know if you need more.

PostSubject: Checked Coolant Bottle   Mon Apr 26, 2010 8:00 am

Thanks you all---with my flashlight, I looked up under the front fender, and there it was----easy to see---the coolant bottle was clean and clear, and the coolant was in the proper range.
