Recently a convert to the Silver Wing thanks to a good friend who owns a 2006. After riding 46 yrs and the last 15 yrs on 3 different Honda ST1100s(all gone now)I can no longer safely juggle 730 lbs of very top heavy bikes...additionally the reach to grab the clutch lever and the free play made it almost impossible to operate due to the arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome..
2 weekends ago I got my first introduction to scooters and the Silver Wing specifically... Our early saturday a.m. ride before the heat of day was 86 miles in 2 hours... My good friend owns a 2006 Honda Helix and a 2006 Silver Wing..He allowed me to ride his Silver Wing..it also had a car tire on the rear..I had no troubles with handling of it and was amazed how well it did handle..and oh so smoooth...And no clutch or gears to shift..The travel of the brake levers is short and thus pain free  for me..i'm sold on a Silver Wing and scooters in general...I'm retired and need to save some money..but i am going to be in the market for a Silver Wing..Any year will suffice but preferances to 2011-2013 model years...

Good luck in finding a Swing. The years you are looking for should come with ABS. If you decide on another year, look for one with ABS. It can be a life saver. Some recommend 2007 or later because it comes with an O2 sensor which adjusts the fuel mixture on the fly. I did not see any difference between my 2002 and 2013 Swing. Do your research. Again, good luck on your search.

Thanks Easy..I was told by my friend and mentor that the last 3 model years had the o2 sensor in the exhaust..Supposedly giving those S.Wings an average of 60 MPG as opposed to earlier models..I dont know if thats true or what you said about the o2 sensors from 2007 on...
