When i bought a new outboard motor the Yamaha dealer gave me this preservative oil which is an excellent all round lube for the shop, also the small pump attaches directly to the quart oil bottle and would make adding the oil a breeze to the final drive oil port.

I thought about the outboard pump for this job but sold mine with my boat and just use an oil can from Harbor Freight. Also most of us on here just use the same oil as in the crankcase (like Honda suggests). I do my final drive every 2nd oil change (very easy), I do it at the same time as a regular oil change. 3 quarts of oil will do both handily.

I've been using Red Line MTL for a few years it's a full SYN oil made for manual transmissions. It's not thick like some gear oils and stays clean after many miles of use. GL4 rated and 75w85 about the same viscosity as 5-10w30 engine oils. They also sell MT 85 and MT90 90 is a little thicker more a 10w40 oil.
Good stuff and pricy $20 a QT.
