| Have another issue with the TMAX , today when I GOT BACK FROM MY 6 MILE ROUND TRIP , ( stop shouting ) the bike started but was misfiiring badly as I started it to enter my garage. I could hear something clattering so when i switched it off and turned on the ignition I could hear either a relay or motor (fuel pump ) clattering like it was being switched on 10 times a second.
Not stripped it down yet to have a look but I am guessing its the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay and the bike is misfiring as its not getting a constant stream of inlet fuel.
It started misfiring a bit from cold a few weeks ago but cleared up within 5 seconds or so but the clattering relay is something new.
Will see what I find when I can get the panels off but any advice would be appreciated. |

| I had a new TMAX...the one with chain final drive, liked it but sold as the miles piled up...thinking fixing it could get expensive. My suggestion, get genuine Yamaha shop manual before you dig into things
A new TMAX, was fine machine, probably the best handling/riding maxi-scooter ( I am on 11th new one since 1990) Good luck |

| 5 months passed between your posts .... seems like the fuel gauge is not the only super slow thing to react. |
